For generations, Estancia Tecka has been a working ranch where sheep, cattle, and people coexist across one of Argentina’s largest private properties. Today, that same commitment extends to an extraordinary fly fishing experience.
A working ranch of 435,000 acres in the Chubut province of Patagonia, about 50 miles south of Esquel.
The Ochoa family has run Estancia Tecka since 1968, raising sheep and cattle on land that stretches from open steppe to the rivers and forests at the edge of the Andes. Fly fishing came later, in 2001, opening the ranch’s private water for the first time.
Today the ranch is home to a permanent team of 70 people.
